Heroin Addiction
| Heroin addiction, as with any of the opium derivatives, creates a severe physical/mental dependency. With regular heroin use, tolerance develops. This means the abuser must use more and more heroin to achieve the same intensity or effect. With heroin addiction the body has adapted to the presence of the drug and withdrawal symptoms occur if use is reduced or stopped. Withdrawal, which in heroin addiction may occur as early as a few hours after the last administration, produces drug craving, restlessness, muscle and bone pain, insomnia, diarrhea and vomiting, cold flashes with goose bumps (‘cold turkey’), kicking movements (‘kicking the habit’), and other symptoms. Our drug rehabs unique approach to withdrawal keeps these symptoms to a minimum and by actual report sometimes totally removes these symptoms.

| Alcohol Rehab Utah and Substatnce Dependency | Substatnce dependency kept me from living a happy life until I found help through alcohol rehab utah. My life was changed one night when I overdosed and woke up in the hospital. The doctor told me if I used again I would probably die because my heart couldn't take it any more. I was scared at that point that I might die because I knew I couldn't stop on my own so I told my parents that I had a substatnce dependency and that I needed help to go into alcohol rehab utah. They were surprised that their little girl could even have done such a thing but, they helped me and paid for treatment. It's been 3 years since I went through treatment and I'm happier than ever!
| | Alcoholism Rehab and Substance Abuse | My father is in prison due to his substance abuse and will be getting out next year if he makes it that long. What can I do to get him into an alcoholism rehab center when he gets out on parole? I don't want him to have a substance abuse relapse once he is free. If there an alcoholism rehab center that will take him straight from prison?
